4th of July Events in Orange County 2019

With the 4th of July just days away, we have put together a list of some of the most patriotic events happening in Orange County so that you can celebrate this Independence Day to the fullest.

ALYC OLD GLORY BOAT PARADE
The American Legion Yacht Club hosts their annual Fourth of July boat parade that starts off Collins Island and proceeds throughout Newport Harbor, all boaters are invited to decorate their boats and join in on the festivities. This year’s parade theme is “United We Stand”

Time: July 4th, 1:00-3:30 pm

MARINERS PARK INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE & FEST
The City of Newport Beach and the Mariners Elementary School Foundation will host their annual parade and celebration, the morning of the 4th at the corner of Commodore & Mariners Drive. After the parade, at 11:00 am, there will be food for sale, as well as wristbands that will allow participation in games and activities that are fun for all ages!

NEWPORT PENINSULA BIKE PARADE & FEST
This annual “4th of July is for Families” is a free community festival that is fun for the whole family. The bike and dog parade commences at 9:00 am at Balboa Blvd and 36th Street then heads down to Channel Place Park for carnival games, jump house, arts & crafts, and food – all for free! Participants are encouraged to decorate their bikes, scooters, wagons, and strollers.

NEWPORT DUNES FIREWORK SHOW
Bring your beach chairs and witness the most spectacular fireworks show in Orange County, sponsored by the City of Newport Beach. The festivities start early with live entertainment, carnival games, food trucks, and a full bar. Doors open at 2:30 pm, music starts at 3:00 pm, and the fireworks show will commence at 9:00 pm.

Time: July 4th, 2:00-10:30pm

LAGUNA BEACH FIREWORKS SHOW
The City of Laguna Beach will put on their annual fireworks show this 4th of July at Heisler Park. The show will begin at 9:00 pm, with the City trolleys working under a modified schedule (Coastal Route will run from 9:30am-7:00pm and Canyon Route will run from 8:30 am-7:00pm).

HUNTINGTON BEACH 4TH OF JULY RUN, PARADE & FIREWORKS
This annual event includes a Surf City Run starting at Worthy Park, a pancake breakfast at Lake Park, a Parade down Main Street, and Fireworks over the Ocean starting at 9:00pm. The Surf City 5K Run/Walk begins at 6am, with the pancake breakfast starting at 7am. The HB 4th of July Parade goes from 10:00am-12:00pm on Main Street, Huntington Beach.

Time: July 4th, 6:00am-12:00pm & Fireworks 9:00pm-9:30pm

DANA POINT 4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS
This patriotic extravaganza, put on by the City of Dana Point, is perfect for family and friends to come together and look towards the skies over Doheny State Beach and experience one of the best fireworks show in Southern California. Free bus service will be available to Dana Point Harbor from 10:00am-11:00pm.
