Get Ready For This Year's OC Fair (2019)
The 2019 OC Fair starts this Friday, July 12th, it will celebrate the county’s agricultural roots this year with the theme “Acres of Fun” – this comes as the third year of their three year initiative to focus its themes on agriculture. People from all over will come to the fair this year for its carnival games, rides, extravagant foods, petting zoos, and entertainment.
Here are some things to note:
When and where is the OC Fair?
The OC Fair will run from July 12th to August 11th, Wednesday through Sunday, and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. On weekdays the fair will be open from noon to midnight and on the weekends, 11am – midnight. The fairgrounds are located at the OC Fair & Event Center, 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa; right off the 55 freeway.
How do I get in?
On Wednesday-Friday, general admission (13-59) is $12, senior admission (60+) and youth admissions (6-12) are $7, and children ages 5 and younger are free.
On Saturday and Sunday, general admission is $14, seniors and youth are $7, and children ages 5 and younger are free.
Active military and veterans receive free OC Fair admission all 23 days of the fair and are able to purchase up to 6 general admission passes at half-price.
The Super Pass offers daily admission to all 23 days of the 2019 OC Fair, express entry, a 2-for-1 discount for tickets at the Pacific Amphitheater, 15% discount on food, and a 2019 OC Fair souvenir pin. The Super Pass is available for $40 for attendees aged 13-59 and $33 for seniors and youths. All details can be accessed here: 2019 OC Fair Super Pass
What about free admission?
Opening day offers “Free ‘Til Three” where both admission and parking are free until 3pm. Every Thursday is kids’ day where children ages 12 & younger can receive free admission. Wednesdays offer free general admission and one carnival ride per person until 3pm, with a donation to that week’s charity; you can see the list here: OC Fair Discounts. If you went to the San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, or Ventura County Fairs and saved your ticket stub, you are eligible for one free admission to the fair. From August 7th through August 11th, active-duty and professional staff of the police, sheriff, fire and emergency departments can receive free admission with the option to purchase up to 4 general admission tickets at half price.
What are the parking options?
Parking is $10, cash only, on the grounds. There is also free parking and shuttle service that is available on Saturdays and Sundays, from 10 am to 1 am, at the Experian parking structure located off the Bristol exit of the 405 Freeway.
What can I bring into the Fair?
Outside food and beverages are permitted as long as they are stored in plastic receptacles or reusable bottles. No cans, glass, outside alcohol, or hard-sided coolers are allowed into the property. All personal items are subject to search upon entry to the fair.
What artists are set to perform at the Pacific Amphitheater?
Every year, the Pacific Amphitheater hosts multiple high-profile talents. This year they are welcoming acts like Seal, Ziggy Marley, Pat Benatar, Smokey Robinson, and Brothers Osborne. For concert dates and multiple other artists visit pacamp.com.
