MAKE YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD A CHRISTMAS LIGHT HOT SPOT

December is here and Christmas is just a hop, skip, and a jump away. To prepare we’re watching our favorite classic Christmas movies (here’s a movie schedule). And while ramping up with celebrations, we’re also getting together with our community to get our Christmas lights up.

Some neighbors eagerly anticipate the day after Thanksgiving, to start and finish putting up lights all in one day. Others like to wait until Christmas Eve to even get started; we understand, it’s the holidays and we’re the same way. No matter which camp you’re in, Christmas lights and other outdoor decorations are an undeniably great way to celebrate the season and display holiday cheer. It’s also a great time to unite as a community and celebrate the season together.

To bring your community together in decorating, try to get your neighbors involved and excited about it. Make it a neighborhood event every year! Make your street and the surrounding streets become the new must-see neighborhood to walk around and enjoy during the holidays.

With all this excitement around holiday decorating, are you dreaming of a White Christmas? Maybe some tastefully-lit and placed wreaths? How about turning your house into a candy cane-themed estate? No matter what you decide to do, we’re here to help! To give you some inspiration for your own light show and embrace the holiday spirit, we’ve turned to one of our favorite inspirational resources to provide you with some amazing, themed displays of Christmas lights.

Here are some inspirational outdoor holiday decorations and lights from House Beautiful.

Lots of hot cocoa and cookies later, the neighborhood will be beautifully lit up and filled with holiday cheer. Now, let the festivities begin!
