Neighborhood Knowledge: Kim Bibb on Peninsula Point

A top broker on the Balboa Peninsula and resident of the Peninsula Point neighborhood at the end of the peninsula, Villa partner Kim Bibb is an expert on this coastal neighborhood. We asked her to share some of her favorite local spots and what makes Peninsula Point so special.

Do you have a favorite neighborhood restaurant or any hidden gems you can share?

On weekends, the Galley Café and Alta Coffee are my go-to spots; it just depends on how far I feel like bike riding! Also, San Shi Go Sushi right here on Main Street is one of the best sushi restaurants around. It’s so fun, and we always run into neighbors when we go there.

What is your favorite way to spend a weekend on the Peninsula?

Either paddle boarding or bike riding, and just enjoying our beautiful Newport Beach weather!

What is the best part of living on Peninsula Point?

The neighborhood and the people here are great, everyone is very friendly and the atmosphere is casual. It is fun meeting neighbors out at the beach or over at the bay for a barbecue.

Is there anything else special about life on Peninsula Point?

The 4th of July Parade is the best! It’s a tradition that brings together the whole neighborhood and many families with multiple generations, who gather for the day to celebrate summer. It is definitely a great memory maker for kids as they grow up.
