NEWPORT BEACH RESTAURANT WEEK STARTS TODAY!

As we begin the third week of January, Newport Beach restaurants are ramping up for their annual event... Newport Beach Restaurant Week!

The holidays are a huge rush time for restaurants, where things get crazy and busy. This all halts as the new year comes around and restaurants experience a January slump. The Newport Beach Restaurant Association decided this would be a good time of year to encourage people to go out and try new places or to enjoy old favorites, by making an event out of it—a celebration of the local cuisine community. And Newport Beach Restaurant Week was born. It was designed as a way to get the community together to try local restaurants, as well as to boost the local economy during a slow time of year.

Now in its 11th year, this annual event, despite being called "restaurant week," is actually 14 days long, but no complaints here. During this 14-day food event, participating restaurants throughout Newport Beach offer special lunch and dinner menus at set prices for all of us to enjoy.

There are no tickets. Simply show up at one of the participating restaurants, order off the special selection of restaurant week menu items, and enjoy your meal in celebration of Newport Beach's various delicious cuisines.

The official start of the event is today; Monday, January 16th. And it runs through Sunday, January 29th.

The Orange County Register has an article about the 8 best deals at Restaurant Week 2017; you can check it out here.

Dine Newport Beach is an official source for information on Restaurant Week. For more information on the event, a list of participating restaurants, and to check out the special menus, visit their page here.

We're excited to go out and eat some delicious food. And we hope to see you out there with us supporting local restaurants by celebrating and participating in Newport Beach Restaurant Week 2017!
